Blue Water Horizons will be attending the Southampton Boat Show this Friday the 10th September to Sunday the 19th September on our regular stand number C004 across from the Sunseeker stand.  We will have on display our selection of Crownline boats including  Bowrider, Cuddy and a Cruiser. We will also have on display our Aqualum 35′ Flybridge and the all new 296 Bowrider from Cobalt on its UK debut. Be sure to email us if you are attending the show and come by for a cuppa and see our new products.

Blue Water Horizons are pleased to announce our ongoing efforts to provide premium class boats to the UK market and the announcement of our newest brand to join our family. Cobalt boats are well known around the world as being a premium brand. Cobalt have models from small bowriders to large sport cruisers and pride themselves on the fine interiors and composite construction for the strongest hulls. We will be debuting this Cobalt 296 at the Southampton Boat Show this September. Stay tuned for additional information.

Summer is in full swing and we would like to remind our customers of the Customer Appreation Day at Lulworth Cove at the end of August.

The last trip of the summer is a customer appreciation day for existing BWH customers and will be at Lulworth Cove. We will leave jointly from the Poole and Portland branches and meet at Lulworth Cove for a free picnic.

If you are not an existing BWH customer or have not yet bought a boat, please feel free to come along. There is often room on boats that are going and it is a great time to experience boating first hand.  This is a safe way to gain experience and it is always great fun. We will announce more as we get closer to the date.

Blue Water Horizons   would like to invite you to broaden your horizons and join our next cruise on Saturday the 24^th of July 2010.

Isle of Wight                                           July 24^th – July 25^t!

We will jointly leave from Portland and Poole and go to the Isle of Wight with an overnight stay. Cuddies and Cruisers can join us on this trip and if you are confident, we are happy to work with any Bowriders that want to come and stay in a B & B overnight. If you have not visited the Isle of Wight before you will be in for a lovely treat as it is well worth the journey.

We will leave from Portland Marina at the fuel pontoon on the morning of the 24^th around 10 am with a safety briefing from your pilot. We will join the Poole party at Shell Bay around mid day and will make our way to the Isle of Wight. We will berth overnight at Island Harbour Marina set in one of the most picturesque riverside locations, Island Harbour is conveniently situated two miles south of Cowes on the Isle of Wight. The peaceful marina has many amenities including a licensed bar and restaurant, state of the art shower block and a laundry room. The stunning setting, sense of space and well appointed facilities combine to make Island Harbour an exceptionally sought after marina. A short taxi ride will take us to Cowes centre for those who enjoy the night life or unique shopping. In the morning we will go over another safety briefing with the pilot and will decide as a group if we should take a scenic tour around the Island on our way back.

This cruise is organised by us and is free of charge other than the berthing or B & B cost that we have secured for you. The trip can be for anyone and any brand of boat. We encourage people with no experience to come along and gain confidence and leave the hard work to our pilot.

The next trip to Brixham/Torquay will take place over two days. We will leave jointly from Portland and Poole and stay overnight in Brixham/Torquay. This trip is open to all cuddies and cruisers. Please note for MDL customers you can stay in either of these marinas as part of your free allocation. Join us and enjoy the beautiful cruising on the English Rivera!

We had such a great time at the Mercedes Benz showrooms over the weekend with their launch of the E-class cabriolet and the general start of summer. We had many customers appreciate the class of Crownline as our branding is on par with what they expext from a Mercedes Benz. The atmosphere was great with BBQ and drinks all around! Summer Starts here so come and get a sneak peak!

The first trip of the summer in your boat is always the best! With anticipation of dreamy hot summer days, cool water and the wind in your hair.
Most of our local customers boat in Weymouth Bay or Portland Harbour and the gradually go further as their experience and courage grow. This is an opportunity to let the experts guide you so that you can enjoy the scenery and log this as time on your boat for your qualifications.
Blue Water Horizons would like to invite you to broaden your horizons.
This first trip of the year will start at 10:00 at our Portland Harbour location with pre launch checks and instruction from our in-house chief RYA instructor Shaun Souster and travel to Dolphin Quay in Poole Harbour.
Shaun will meet our quests at the Portland Harbour Marina near the fuel pontoon at 10:00. He will consider your boat and go over the planned route with things to look for such as marker buoys and rock formations. You will have an opportunity to fuel up with diesel or petrol on the pontoon and to ask questions or check over your planned route and waypoints.
We will then leave and are scheduled to have near perfect conditions with wind at a Force Three or less and Sea State will be slight or smooth. The Lulworth firing range is clear. We will travel at approximately 20 knots with a travel time of 1/12 to 2 hours with arrival at Dolphin Quay around 12:00. We will have a debriefing and then two hours on the quayside enjoying the scenery and sights whilst taking in the sun.
We will depart at 14:00 with a briefing and with the speed the same we should enter Portland Harbour around 16:00. Shaun will also answer any questions and give advice.
If this is the first time you are out on your boat this season please make sure your boat is fully operational. You will need a berthing fee of £6 on arrival into Dolphin Quay and berthing at Portland will be provided by us.
