RYA Powerboat II Course

Monday, October 26th, 2009

Blue Water Horizons will be conducting the RYA Powerboat II courses during the winter of 2009 in preparation for next season. The Powerboat II course is a two day event, usually done on your own boat although we can provide a boat for you.  One day is a general overview of boating including types of hulls, chart work, tides, weather, rules of the road, towing, and emergency procedures.. Another day is practical use of your boat including pre-launch checks, launch and recovery, tying up along side, mooring, anchoring, slow and fast manoeuvres and man overboard safety procedures. This is the most common class that first time boaters attend. Please call for more details. We have weekends this winter still available to book.
